What’s the difference between a motor module and a servo module for vex robotics?

We use vex robotic kits at school, and I know that there’s two kinds.
Is it that motor modules work continuously and servo modules have a limit to how much they work?
And also does anyone know the 6 components of any robot?
Thanks for your help.
